INDUSTRY INSTITUTE INTERFACE

  

We at MERI, take proper care to give the students practical application of learnt concepts, to give them an insight of industry and most of all prepare them mentally for the world they have to face while looking for the job.

 

For reasons such as these and many more, Guest Lectures and Industrial Visits are organized in the Institute very frequently where senior level Academicians, Industrialists and Corporate Heads are called to give a few words of their wisdom to the budding managers.

 

Guest Lectures And Workshops 

          

·                     Mr. Ashwini Kr. Deputy General Manager, NIIT Technologies delivered a lecture on “Latest IT trends and career in IT Industry” on 17th August 06 for the benefit of MCA students.  After the lecture the open house discussions was quite vibrant and enlightened the students about their career prospects with the value addition trainings including IP University Post Graduation courses.

             

 

·                     Dr. Pratul Sharma, Deputy General Manager, Birla Soft and a corporate trainer arranged a lecture as well as workshop focusing on the theme of “Managerial Challenges and Aspects of self – development”.  He had arranged an individual interaction with the MCA students on 15th September 06.  He attempted in confidence building in the students.

 

·                     Dr. B.R. Shivani delivered a structured lecture on “Stress Management and Self Managing Leadership” workshop on Self-analysis techniques was well appreciated by all the students.  The lecture gave an insight to the students for their personality buildup and strategy for future development.

 

·                     Mr. Avinash Kashyap, Asst. Manager in American Marketing Council had provided his professional guidance on innovative business as well as its necessity for corporate world.  This clinic was arranged on 29th September 2006 for the benefits of the students.

 

·                     Mr. Vikas Rathi, Senior Systems Manager, Flextronics Hughes Software Solutions shared his wide experience with students on the topic “Contemporary Telecom Technologies”.  This was arranged on 16th September 2006.  The focus of the clinic was the basics of “Telecom Industry and relevant technologies” used by IT Industry in India.

 

·                     Mr. Ashwini Kumar, General Manager, Microsoft had delivered a lecture on 12th October 2006 on “Network Security”.  The importance of security in a company and the ways to implement it were discussed in detail.  The students were quite enthusiastic to understand the intricacies of Network Securities.

 

·                     Sh. VIneet Narian, Sr. Journalist  and President of Braj Rakshak Dal made a presentation on “Integrated Project Management”.  The  emphasis was on the importance of live projects in software as well as hardware.  This presentation was made on 3rd November 2006. 

 

·                     A practical interview on the “Technicalities of Training Human Resources” was conducted by Dr. Shipra Silswal, HR Manager, Impetus Company for MCA V semester students.  This enriched the understanding of the students to enable them for better prospective career in the matter of placement.

 

·                     The institute arranged a workshop for MCA IIIrd Semester students on technical HR by Mr. Gaurav Bhutani, GM Birlasoft.  The students got enriched with the interaction and guidance given in the workshop.
